The TEa Pad SCHOLARSHIP for minority entrepreneurship

The Tea Pad Scholarship award considers the student's grades, leadership roles along with school or community involvement.

Scholarship Eligibility & Requirements

  • Undergraduate student enrolled in 6+ credit hours
  • Candidate must demonstrate of entrepreneurial attributes: forward thinking; passion; strong work ethic; excellent communication skills; creativity; competitive; drive; confident and disciplined.  an interest in entrepreneurship.
  • Submit an official transcript demonstrating a minimum of a 3.0 GPA.
  • Submit a letter of recommendation letter from a faculty member displaying the applicant’s potential as an entrepreneur.
  • Submit two letters of recommendation from community members which demonstrates the applicant’s actionable commitment to her community.
  • Submit current resume.
  • Submit a 750-word original essay discussing what the greatest barriers to entry are for entrepreneurs starting business today and plans for overcoming the barriers.
  • Requires an interview with Tea Pad Advisory Board member(s).
